28/02 & 01/03, three burglaries occurred in Northleach. Unknown person(s)
entered a cottage in West End by reaching through the cat flap in the rear door and accessing the key. A ladies purse,
containing cash and bank cards, was taken, along with a small amount of
jewellery. The office at Northleach Court was entered after the window was forced but
nothing appears to have been taken. A garage at Brook Close was broken into and
some tools were stolen, possibly to assist with breaking into Northleach Court.
If anyone saw or heard anything suspicious during this time, they are asked to
contact Stow Police on 0845 090 1234. Anyone with information regarding who may

***This is Message 12/10 from North Cotswolds Watch Office at Stow. Between 1600 hrs & 2200 hrs on
25/02/10 thieves stole a green Fendt 936 tractor, registration number DX57RHZ,
from a field near Home Farm, Toddington. When taken, the tractor had a
distinctive white roof, with twin orange flashing beacons. Please report any
sightings of this tractor to Glos Police on 0845 090 1234, quoting Inc. 470 of
25/02/10. It is worth noting that this machine was probably stolen with the
keys, which were left in a locked toolbox on the tractor itself.***

is Message 11/10 from North Cotswolds Watch Office at Stow. Between
23/02 & 26/02, thieves stole a quantity of new copper cable from an
unlocked outbuilding on a farm at Cold Aston. Between 1500 hrs on 26/02 &
0700 hrs on 27/02, unknown offender(s) made a determined effort to enter a
grain store at Roel, Guiting Power but were defeated by the security
arrangements in place. It is thought that they may have been after the JCB
parked within. Between 1900 hrs on 26/02 & 0700 hrs on 27/02 thieves cut
the padlock on a storage shed at Wyck Hill and stole a red Honda Fourtrak quad
bike, an Stihl strimmer and a Honda Pro 21" roller mower. Rural Watch
members should be aware of these latest thefts and keep their security
arrangements under constant review. Remember to report any suspicious callers
to the Police immediately.***

1700 hrs and 2020 hrs on Friday, 26/02/10, unknown offender(s) broke into a
house in Norton View by smashing a lower glass panel in the rear door and
reaching in to turn the key. The house was searched and a quantity of jewellery
was stolen. If anyone saw anything suspicious in the area during early Friday
evening, they are asked to contact Stow Police on 0845 090 1234. Alternatively,
anyone with information concerning those who may have been responsible, can
call Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111. NW members are reminded that
keys should not be left in locked doors but should be removed and hung in a

thieves broke into the Village Shop at Blockley by forcing a rear door and
stole a small amount of cash and a large quantity of cigarettes. If anyone saw
anything suspicious in the vicinty of the shop during the above period, they
are asked to contact Stow Police on 0845 090 1234, quoting Inc. 39 of 26/02/10,
if possible. Alternatively, anyone with information concerning those

***This is Message 10/10 from North Cotswolds Watch Office at Stow. Sometime between 12/02/10 and 26/02/10
unknown offender(s) stole approx. 2000 litres of heating oil from a storage
tank at the Fox Inn. This follows a similar incident around mid-February, when
1250 litres of oil were taken from a tank at Broadwell Church.
NW members in the area should be aware that storage tanks are again being
targeted and those with tanks should review their security arrangements. Contact

***This is Message 06/10 from North Cotswolds Watch Office at Stow. Rural Watch members are being advised
of a number of seemingly-connected farm burglaries that occurred during last
week. Locked storage buildings were broken into at Roel Hill, Corndean Lane and Lower Coscombe and quad bikes and tools were stolen. A
secure workshop at Cutsdean was entered and tools were taken, along with a grey
VW Transporter van RE05XBU, using keys taken from the workshop. This van has
still not been recovered. A large steel container was broken into at Ford and a
Stihl hedgecutter and strimmer were taken. A shed at Dumbleton was forcibly
entered but nothing was taken. Please review your own security arrangements and
report any suspicious persons or vehicles to the police immediately on 0845 090
1234 or via the 999 service, if urgent.***

is Message 03/10 from North Cotswolds Watch Office at Stow. Overnight between 21st & 22nd
January, unknown offender(s) entered two parked vehicles in Greyrick Court by unknown means and
searched the interiors but nothing is believed to have been stolen. At the same
time, a rear passenger window of a Toyota Auris, parked in Norton View was
smashed and damage was caused to the rubber surround of another window. No
entry was gained to this vehicle. Police are linking these incidents with
another at Weston-sub-Edge, where a satnav device was stolen from a Ford Fiesta
parked at Dovers View. N/Watch members are reminded to ensure that vehicles
parked outside at night are secure and that all valuable items have been
removed.***
